This led to the formation of the industry and now, it has expanded beyond imagination. Daily, countless medicines are produced that save thousands of lives. Scientists work day and night for leading companies of the industry to make new and improved drugs and medicine.

The importance of medicine

I wish to pursue a career in the field of pharmaceuticals and one of the key reasons why I wish to do so is because I understand the importance of medicine to a human body. Medicines are the key to survival for a person who is suffering from a certain illness or problem. Consider a time when we fall ill. We have fever and we do not feel like we are strong enough to do anything or to even function. We use medicines at such stages to boost the system and recover from the illness. Now take such an illness and magnify it a hundred times. That is how a fatal illness affects a person and such a person does not even have the strength to walk or move. Such a person does not have the strength to move or do anything at all. This is where pharmaceuticals help. These medicines help such people fight these illnesses and diseases and in most cases, the person fights untimely death and recovers to full health. This is the main reason why I wish to pursue a career in this field because I realize that this is a noble field to enter and a career in this field would mean that I would be able to contribute towards the noble cause of saving lives.
