In Europe, it is the largest manufacturer of sportswear and in the world is the second largest manufacturer of sportswear. Adidas AG includes three major brands, Reebok, Adidas and TaylorMade. Headquarter of Adidas is in Germany. The company is one of the most favored and preferred by the customers and the people all around the world. The company has strong competitors in the market and is doing its best to stay ahead of them in the industry.

Discussion

Adidas sponsors a number of teams in various sports. In the 2011 Cricket World Cup, the company sponsored the uniforms of the South African Cricket Team. It is the official apparel sponsor of a number of teams in the Indian Premier League. This has helped the company in ensuring that it is present in each and every sport so that awareness is created. During the London Olympics 2012, the company was a major sponsor and had made its presence known in the market (David, 2011).

The mission statement of the company is one that keeps the employees motivated and that helps it in ensuring that they are the leader in the industry. The company aims to improve its brands so that it does not have to face the negative impacts of the competition and rivalry that exists in the market. The company also makes sure that it is able to satisfy its consumers and that they are able to provide them with the highest values with the help of their products. Although the company's mission includes being responsible socially and environmentally, it has still not been able to deliver what it had promised to and what it is expected to.

The sales of the competitors of Adidas are high in certain parts of the world; therefore, the company should ensure that it is able to match their performance.
