Introduction

We often witness the various differences with which adults are treated in hospitals as compared to the manners in which children are treated. That is, children are always treated with more concern and care and love than the adults.

Discussion

It is witnessed that even in situations where the disease and the treatment is the same; children are treated with more gentleness and care than the adults. For example, when drawing blood from the adults for blood tests or any other reason, bigger size needles and tubes are used to do so. The example serves to explain that the procedure is the same but the manner in which it is carried out differs a lot. The question is that if these smaller tubes work on small children, then why they wouldn't work on adults as well. The doctors are of the opinion that it has never been brought up in the adult world and so, no body has ever made a big deal out of it.

The truth is that there is something about the care of children that has an effect on people and they are touched to react that way. It is something about the children themselves that the people automatically act in that manner towards them and differently with other adults. For example, the doctors know that children dread getting blood drawn out of them; they fear needles so this fear of children influences the frequency with which the doctors tend to order tests in the case of children.
