Introduction

Due to cuts and other internal changes in 2012, AMD expects to save about $ 200 million. The money will be used to develop chips with low power consumption and server processors, as well as new markets.

AMD has remained silent about the new ingenious plan CEO Rory Reid (Rory Read) associated with a change of priorities in the company. During the webcast head turned to AMD employees with comments on its new development strategy. Unfortunately, access to the conference for public viewing was closed, so its contents remain a mystery for about three months. Apparently, Mr. Reed seeks to focus on the consumer goods market. In particular, the new strategy is a very important role for micro-Bobcat, known low-power, and decisions based on it (Huynh, 2003).

Turnover

Turnover can be defined as a situation in which employees' stay or leave. It can be of several forms such as voluntary, avoid-ability, and functionality of turnover. Voluntary turnover refers to a condition in which employees leave the organization on his or her own choice to leave the job and company. Involuntary refers to the situation in which the employee is forced to leave the organization. The turnover is considered as an avoidable turnover when the employee is getting low pay while working for longer hours, and unavoidable means when reasons are not related to work, such as marriage and/or demands of the spouse or family. Functional turnover is one in which company is benefited if an employee leaves the organization because it is when good performers stay, and bad performers leave the organization (Charlie, 2011).
