Background

AEG Power Solutions is leading the energy revolution in the United States which is offering green energy to the customers such as solar and power controller's energies. The success of the company must be understood from the fact that the company is the pioneer of energy revolution in the US. It is not only the pioneer but it has also been leading this revolution through the years. Innovation and creativity is embedded in the very culture of the organization. The power solutions delivered by the company are based on improvements (Renewable Energy, 2012).

The company's clients range from traditional power generation, oil, gas and petrochemical companies through residential customers and many small businesses and manufacturers. For more than a century of power electronics experience, AEG Power Solutions is bringing industrial-grade power solutions to the renewable energy revolution. In its renewable energy solutions business segment, AEG PS Group provides power control systems and modules and solar solutions. The company has a well diversified portfolio that covers both power technologies for AC and DC current.

The energy solution provided by the company can be classified into two broad categories. These are Renewable Energy Solutions and Energy Efficiency Solutions (Daniell, 2003).

Like any other business, there are certain core values that AEG Power Solution adheres to. These are reliability, respect, innovation and accountability. Of all the power solutions that are offered by the company, there are two aspects that are always focused on. These are efficiency and reliability.

When awareness of the efficiency of power controllers with poly-silicon rose in the market, sales of AEG started declining. AEG enables customers in many industries to optimize output and reduce operating costs through offering alternate energy solutions but lack of research has affected its sales volume heavily (Freedman, 2005). Hence, the scope of the problem is pretty broad in its scope.

Factors relevant to the scope of the problem

As concerns the demographics of the demand of the power products is increasing rapidly. This means that existing production capacity is not enough for the company to be able to meet this rise in demand. The production capacity at the plant cannot increase without working to arrange for further investment to meet the demand. As concerns, the macroeconomic environment for the company, there has been an increase in the number of series of mergers and acquisitions (Drok, 2012). This telecom industry can be a serious problem in terms of indirect competition. This industry can offer substitute products of the solutions being provided by AEG Power Solutions.
