Aeropostale's Inc. was fist started for the department store known as “Macy's Departmental Store” with the private label in the year 1982. The label was named as “Shop Aeropostale”. The first store of Aeropostale was started in 1987 with the assist of Federated Department Store Inc. In the year 1996, they expanded their brand for casual apparel for young men and women.
