Introduction

Over the past 25 years organizational culture and methods has become one of the essential concepts of theories of organizations. This concept can be used in-order to manage the environment, to assemble employees towards one main project as well providing values or signs as to explain the organizations social dynamics. All organizations be it profit or non-profit organizations they grow and evolve and hence for it to survive one essential ingredient is having leaders for different department that help in streamlining different department process with an organization. To have good and effective leaders an organization should have an effective leadership action plan then only they can achieve the goal of their organization. This paper provides various examples of organization in terms of which culture and method they practice and how they should manage a cultural change. (Sinangil, 2001)

Discussion

Organizations cultures, its methods differ for different organization. This basically means that there is no set meaning of organizations culture and no set methods. Even within an organization different department have different methods which are followed by different leadership action plan. Hence a culture can be a collection of basic understanding as to what is to be practiced, a procedure of information and believing, along with evaluating and acting upon it. To sum it one call cultures a state as well as a process.

In general there are different types of cultures within an organization and methods to control them which are explained in detail below:

Normative Culture

In such an organization, the emphasis is on following the procedures of the organization in the right manner in accordance to the rules and norms defined. A culture of this show projects high stands of business ethics.

Pragmatic Culture

This Culture differs from normative as emphasis is laid towards client satisfaction level. In this culture there are not defined rules and regulation but catering towards the needs of customers is the prime focus.

Academy Culture

An appropriate example with respect to such a culture is of universities, hospitals, huge corporation. Here different within them require different skilled, and the employees that are highly skilled the organization provides the environment whereby their skills can develop.

Baseball Team Culture

Organizations where these cultures are followed are in advertising and investment banking, where by employees are very much in demand. Hence within this culture employees are highly valued and prized. This type of culture has risks attached to it.

Club Culture

Organizations such as law firms, military come under the umbrella of this culture where employees stay in an organization for a long period and promotion are provided at higher level (senior level). Hence it is important that they are provided with exact expertise that is required by a particular organization.

Fortress Culture

Such culture is brought about car companies in department that deal with car loans whereby the employees have this uncertainty factor of getting fired by the organization or not.

Tough-Guy Culture or Macho Culture
