Areas of Research

The study on the “African parenting in Ireland, an exploration on hurdles faced by African rearing children in multicultural Ireland” is mainly based on the social changes that occurred in Ireland in the past. The study will take into account the problems faced by the African parents in raising their children within the multicultural environment of Ireland. The study will provide information on the African children being raised within Ireland and the theories that have been presented with respect to the multicultural environment of Ireland. The Ireland is a multicultural country where the people from several different parts of the world have been living for long time. Though different in culture and race, the African descendants who have been living here are also facing great many difficulties in Ireland. Moreover, the African parents have also faced several difficulties in raising their children in such society where there is significant difference in the beliefs of the society.



Significance of the Research

The topic of the study carries particular significance with respect to the subject area that is sociology. The study on the African parenting in Ireland will take into account the past studies that have been carried out on the same topic. Moreover the study will also gather data on the hurdles faced by the African rearing children in multicultural environment of Ireland. The past studies have taken into account and discussed various perspectives of the country that describes the cultural values of the people living there. The study is important because it includes the studies on the problems faced by the African parents and their offspring in making their position within the multicultural environment of Ireland.
