Environmental impacts of Air pollution

In developed countries lives getting better, it has an unmet need for food, education, health and access to a wide variety of satisfactions. Developing countries have low per capita income a small or emerging industrial development, but that often depends on foreign investment and is based on labor and the high sweet energy, natural resources, mainly for export, a strong dependence on foreign technology, trade and credit, a reduced standard of living, with poor services and inaccessible to a large proportion of the population, poor infrastructure, a high rate illiteracy, a very high population growth, and low consumption. In addition, political instability, corruption and social inequality are common in these states. (Yardley, 2007)

China is a developing country while Japan is an already developed nation, but East Asia is witnessing a power shift with the rise of China and Japan's relative decline China has replaced Japan as the second economic power in the world in 2010, even though the archipelago last year scored a rebound in growth despite the weakness of consumption and the decline in exports. China has been perceived as a great power since the 1940s. However, the perception was not rooted in China's strength but its history as a regional hegemony, its vast territory and its large population. It is impossible to cover all these elements of power, a quick comparison will find that Japan is smaller in terms of territory and population size Furthermore its population is declining fast.14 Its defense forces are also smaller and constrained by its constitution. This does not mean that Japan is destined to be less powerful than China. After all, Japan was the number one power in Asia in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. It was economic strength that made Japan more powerful in comparison with China; economic development constitutes the foundation of China's CNP. Notwithstanding these challenges, China has a good chance of continuing its rapid economic development. Not only will Chinese power be limited in regional social and political structures, its economic power should also be put into perspective. While the Chinese economy is projected to become the largest in one or two decades, its GDP per capita will still be smaller than that of either the United States or Japan. (Rosenfeld, et al., 2007)

Given the deep mutual distrust between China and Japan and issues like territorial disputes, Taiwan, rising nationalism and domestic politics, the scenario of Sino-Japanese military conflict should not be dismissed.

The outright, hostile rivalry between the two giants will divide East Asia. In the near future, however, we can be reasonably confident that their rivalry will not degenerate into war. In the long term, the optimistic scenario that China and Japan will become a joint driving force for East Asian regionalism is not necessarily ill founded. A powerful but non-hegemonic China could be a confident and cooperative player. On the other hand, with years of 'critical, painful, and psychologically difficult strategic adjustments', Tokyo will eventually ...
