The theory of delinquent subcultures first appeared in a book written in 1955 by Albert Cohen titled Delinquent Boys (Kitsuse & Dietrick, 1958). What Cohen accepted was that delinquent behavior from youths is an uprising against what middle class humanity accepts as true a normal humanity should be.
