Abstract

The paper talks about the use of alcohol in the United States of America by Indians. Alcohol is most routinely utilized drug utilized by people around the world. According to the survey American Indians consumer less amount of alcoholic drugs than other populations. Around four percent of deaths to American Indians are initiated by use of alcohol. Mostly Indian youth are the buyers of alcohol as compared to the adults. Most alcohol addict Indian Americans are from to the north localities of India. The conclusion of the study is that Indian Americans are less addicted to alcohol as compared to others.

Alcohol abuse

Alcohol is the oldest and most widely used drug known to man. Patterns of alcohol and its effects differ significantly between ethnic groups. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of substance abuse is more effective when it is based on an understanding of the cultural context in which drinking and associated behaviors evolve.
