How did the play come into being?

The writer's father died and he was very close to him. He away on Memorial Day weekend, then he saw those pictures and they were so beautiful and horrible at the same time. Thos animals in the picture made him think there was a dignity in that. Then he decided that he is going to write a play and he is going to call it 'Still Life' and it's going to be inspired by the pictures.” When the writer was writing this play, it's really funny, because sometimes you get inspired by outside forces as you write.

The writer in his play “Still life” depicted the loss of a memorable and loved one. The writer wrote different ways to cope with grief. He said that losing someone or something you love is very painful. After a significant loss, you may experience all kinds of difficult and surprising emotions, such as shock, anger, and guilt. Sometimes it may feel like the sadness will never let up. While these feelings can be frightening and overwhelming, they are normal reactions to loss. Accepting them as part of the grieving process and allowing yourself to feel what you feel is necessary for healing.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve — but there are healthy ways to cope with the pain. You can get through it! Grief that is expressed and experienced has a potential for healing that eventually can strengthen and enrich life.
