Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is an American electrical devices commerce (e-commerce) business in Seattle, Washington. Amazon was one of the first major businesses to sell items by Internet, and was an iconic "stock in which to invest" of the late 1990s dot-com bubble. After the collapse, the public became skeptical about Amazon's business form, whereas it has since stayed profitable.

A comparison with the industry and sector is done on amazon.com. There may be difference in the accounting methods of the companies. Analysis:

 

 

I. LIQUIDITY:

Amazon.com's Quick ratio is lower than that of the industry, sector and of market. This would be influenced by more liquid receivables and inventory.

The Current Ratio of amazon.com is approximately similar to that of the industry, sector and market

Accounts Receivables turnover Amazon.com is substantially very highly liquid than of the industry, sector and market. It's because amazon.com uses a shorter credit term compared to other companies in the industry and sector.

 The Inventory Turnover for amazon.com is substantially high to the industry and sector than to the market. This may be because the different firms in the industry use different costing methods from the one used by amazon.com
