The above written line was said by Emerson and this is the quote that has always been the inspiration of my life no matter what I do. This quote possesses the inspiring elements that create an urge in me to do something that can be challenging and at the same time should bring out the best of me. While working on this project this quote has inspired me in more than one ways. From the point of choosing the topic till the end of the project the words of this quote has influenced me. The topic of my project is about the ambush marketing activities in Olympic Games. The main reasons to choose this topic is the sportsman spirit, passion for marketing and the quest to discover legal issues involved in the advertising and marketing in the Olympic Games. It was my personal observation that has urged me to choose this topic. When I used to watch Olympic Games on TV and other games I observed the difference of branding and advertising and display of the banners and logos during the game. This urged a quest in me to get to know about the topic in great detail. There were a number of skills and competencies of me helped me in fulfilling the objective of this project. The most important quality that helped me a lot in the completion of this project is overcoming the habit of procrastination. When people work on any project the first thing that they do to proper and timely implementation of the project is that they develop schedules but they cannot abide by it due to the habit of procrastination. I also established a schedule and timetable and never let the habit of procrastination to come in between the work of my project. As far as the supervision meetings are concerned, they were quite tricky to arrange and manage. However, I have successfully managed the supervision meetings. My supervisor helped me a lot throughout the project by pointing out my mistakes and motivating me on my correct steps. When someone take up a challenge he or she is likely to face the problems. I also faced few problems. The problem that I faced is regarding the selection of the data to be included in the project. During the research process I gathered a mammoth amount of the data so it became difficult for me to separate the relevant data and it also confused me a lot. Often times this mammoth amount of data scattered me from my main topic. I overcame this problem with the help and support of my supervisor. The project helps me to identify the importance of research in gaining insights about any subject.
