ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

My thanks go out to all who have helped me complete this study and with whom this project may have not been possible. In particular, my gratitude goes out to friends, facilitator and family for extensive and helpful comments on early drafts. I am also deeply indebted to the authors who have shared my interest and preceded me. Their works provided me with a host of information to learn from and build upon, also served as examples to emulate.

ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of Horizontal and direct drilling which is also called HDD, furthermore this study will also the implications of multi lateral drilling. This study will further discuss the advantages and disadvantages of drilling and will also talk about its applications. The method of the research is qualitative, and the type of research is secondary. The findings are based on literature review and case studies.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Introduction to drilling

The only way to really know if there is oil on the site where the research proposes geological could locate a deposit of oil is by drilling a well.

The depth of a well varies, depending on the region and the depth to which is the structure or geological formation likely to ...
