Description of the system

Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) - U.S. Car Company. At the moment it is a joint with the Italian concern Fiat now. General Director - Sergio Marchioness (both a general manager of Fiat). Italians owned 20% stake in Chrysler, 9.5% owned by the U.S. government, 2.5% Government of Canada, the remaining shares are owned by the pension fund union Auto Workers of America.

Chrysler has more than 40,000 employees but recently it has fired more than 23,000. The reason was the decline in sales , their competitors are moving at a higher level and achieving goals and Chrysler is still in a process to gain its market share at is was before in 90's.

The company has CEO and then the other departments such as Human resource, communication, and other countries head and finally finance, supply chain and product planning departments all are described in detail in the chart present in Appendix.

Diagnosis for Root Cause: 

“Hidden Organization” diagnostic model to explain this I am going to use a case, which was a dark circle of the Chrysler and the organization faced many challenges and brought some changes which help the organization to get rid of this vicious dark circle.

Culture Change at Chrysler:

Many companies have put their side and into prosperity is about to go bankrupt. Some people through financial sleight of hand it, and some become a star, by changing its own culture. Few people will remember, like British Airways or Volvo had a poor reputation. This is a customer (and employee) satisfaction, quality and profit sharp changes in the credit.

Many companies are not the root cause of problems in the structure, President, or staff, their social structure and culture. Because people in different cultures act and perform different tasks, changing the culture can make people more effective and constructive. This applies to colleges and schools also apply to businesses.

In the early 90s, Chrysler had terrible customer service and media relations, with a history of innovation, but the present obsolete. Its market share decline and loss of its fixed costs are high. Bob Lutz, President, Chrysler hopes to become the leading technology and quality cars and trucks - a clear vision of globally applicable. A cultural change, the customer first, the program is built around it.

Downsizing, Outsourcing, and Refocusing

The dominant trends of the last two decades of the 20th century were 'downsizing' and 'refocusing' as large industrial companies reduced both their product scope through focusing on their core businesses and their vertical scope through outsourcing. International expansion has continued, however. These changes coincided with a more turbulent business environment: the oil shock of 1973-1974, the floating of exchange rates in 1972, the invention of the integrated circuit, and the upsurge of international competition.
