Abstract

This research paper aims to discuss the non-profit organization named “My Father's Glory Foundation”. This Foundation is a non-profit organization that umbrella's and assists different programs in serving those in need both locally and throughout the state and nation of the United States. This paper aims to use this foundation as an example to analyze transformative change factors in a public organization. The perspectives of Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) will be the primary framework for the research. The purpose of the research is to search for and assess the factors that inhibit or support positive change and constrain the natural self-organizing capacity of complex organizations.

In today's era, there is a huge responsibility on non-profit organizations to deliver those products and services which have previously been provided by the government in an environment, which is now being more difficult, and more complex. A non-profit organization is highly dependent on certain variables to adopt new findings and environment. One of the key variables tends to be the leadership of the organization (Olson and Eoyang, 2001). It is important for the leader to adopt the culture of the organization and work accordingly for the success of the organization. The interaction between the leader and the culture of an organization is very important for the success of the organization. Thus, this is the element of interaction which causes and creates change culture in the organization. The purpose of this paper is to search for and assess the factors that inhibit or support positive change and constrain the natural self-organizing capacity of complex organizations.

Father's Glory Foundation is a non-profit organization that umbrella's and assists different programs in serving those in need both locally and throughout our state and nation. These programs may include but is not limited to transitional living arrangements, mentoring services, group homes for teenagers, counseling services, and homeless shelters. It is our intent to identify the need of the person and make every effort to meet that need.

Mission Statement of MFG Foundation

The mission for My Father's Glory Foundation is the pursuit of the following principles;

Support - MFG Foundation will serve as a support system to each program involved and assist with leadership trainings for success and effectiveness.

Commitment - MFG Foundation commits to inspire pro-social relationships, strong interpersonal skills, and instill a hope for the future.

Responsibility - MFG Foundation takes the initiative to not only assist with provision but also teach the importance of responsibility.
