Introduction

Army leadership in the United States of America is one of the most renowned leadership there are certain policies set for leadership qualities. These leaders are des cribbed by the DA as Pentathletes, as their attributes reflect the essence of the Army of the United States of America. These people are not only decisive but are also cautious risk takers; Pentathletes are adaptive to the environment in unforeseeable circumstances, they are creative, innovative as well as fully aware of the situation demonstrating temperament in all the acts they perform.

Despite the fact that the Army of the United States of America is a value and principle-based association, the latest description of leadership is based on how one evaluates behavior. Authoritative, operating and improving are root leadership actions.  Whether through ordering, setting personal examples or mutual efforts, the leaders enable their resource to work collectively to attain mutual goals.  Its fundamental requirement is providing explanations and challenges, other than the daily tasks. Doctrine of leadership in the Army of the US investigates three conducts through which leaders exhibit influence: motivating, decision making and communicating. At the direct level, leaders can influence face-to-face with instructions, encouragement and recognition. Higher levels require more indirect techniques and a clearly understood intent (James, 2002).
