Introduction:

The United States of America is a very diverse country which has given opportunities to many people including minorities. The minorities dwelling on American soil are Hispanics, Asians, Caucasians, Pakistan and Indians. After a continuous struggle and bloodshed these minorities were able to get their rights and voices heard. Also the civil rights bill allowed the minorities to have voting rights which was regarded an integral thing.

Discussion:

The two major minority groups who prevail in the the United states of America are the Hispanics Americans and Asian Americans. These two groups have contributed tremendously to the booming economy of the US. Although, these minorities have always been stereotyped for being the inferior breed as these people happened to be dark skinned and are not considered to be attractive like the majorities. But due to the hard work and effort they put in their work, they were able to gain positions in the congress, senate, a few were made government secretaries and others opened doors for their fellow minorities.

In the previous decades, many of these minorities representatives, paved ways for their upcoming generation through their sheer hard work and dedication. They made lives for their generation flexible, so that they would not need to face the hardships they faced. These two minorities produced prodigies which took the world by storm and put U.S in on the world map, despite constraints due to the minority they represented.

Moreover, Hispanics Americans are Americans of Spanish descent. The Hispanics population in the US is 2527725 or 8.5% of the total population. Apparently people mostly associate the Hispanics with the Latinos. The name Hispanics was coined by Richard Nixon in 1970 and it is derived, from the Latin word for "Spain," has the broader reference, potentially encompassing all Spanish-speaking peoples in both hemispheres and emphasizing the common denominator of language among communities that sometimes have little else in common.

As history dates back, the Hispanics served in the military and helped US in the Civil War. Also in the 1960s when Martin Luther King Jr. took the civil rights movement to the streets, many of these Hispanics participated and later on led their own movement, where Caucasian people were recognized for their contribution to the society.
