Introduction

In the nineties when multiculturalism is, all the rage and American universities attract larger and larger numbers of international students. Language becomes a barrier when it comes to global interactions. However, English being the most widely spoken language serves as the second language around the world so that people from different parts can communicate with each other through it. Assessing and analyzing the learning needs of students in an educational setup is an effective tool for identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and for positioning, them based on their knowledge, expertise and competencies. This analysis helps to determine the gaps in the learning of a learner and the programs, courses, content, etc that may assist the learner in overcoming these. Significance of the Study

Pronunciation in an L2 language is a complex process, and effective communication can be affected by pronunciation. According to Norton, 2000), it can be one of the most difficult aspects of language learning and teaching. In their learning process, EFL students sometimes fall back on pronouncing certain sounds that belong to their first language, and this can lead to problems with their communication in L2 as it affects both the production and perception of sounds.

The Concept

As non-native English speakers can be put in categories with native educators, the disquiet passes that ELL educators realize their syntax concentrated on language not sufficient to make an assessment. Strategies to focus on teaching ELL Students

The World has recently witnessed a growing interest in young learner EFL programs. Research results regarding the value of such programs are not conclusive. This paper attempts to shed some light on the controversial issues related to the influence of early start English programs on children's achievement of English as a foreign language. Two age groups were compared: Eleven year olds who have started learning English from the First Grade and thirteen year olds who have started learning English from the fifth grade. A comprehensive test was designed to compare the two age groups in terms of their achievement in reading comprehension, vocabulary and structure. Results show that fifth grade starters achieved better results in reading comprehension and vocabulary; however, there were no statistically significant differences between the two age groups in terms of structure.
