Introduction

I am a highly experienced and talented person and a very dependable claims adjuster with more than eight years of enriching experience in claims, under my belt. I have decent interpersonal skills, believing that working as a team is the secret to success any and everywhere. I boost strong negotiation skills with a keen investigative perspective, while my computer skills are up to date, and moderately well. I am an energetic person and am able to work efficiently in a fast paced work environment, able to work cooperatively with a wide range of personalities, willing to assume responsibility and motivated to learn different skills. I continually seek challenging tasks where I can use my knowledge and skills and groom them.

Constant learning

As an adjuster, I am required to take 24 hours of continuing education credits every two years in order to keep my adjuster's license. This not only help me maintain my license, but add greatly to my experience and knowledge. It is this requirement that allow me to adapt and absorb new concepts and theory that aid me in my work. I believe that, in today's world, there is nothing that stops, even the development in the claim handling section. New and recent developments are kept a fresh, and allow me to absorb and learn from them through the 24 hours required for continuing education.

It helped me better understand the concepts behind the claims industry and how the adjuster contributes to it. Having a better understanding of the concepts, I was able to have a new perspective of my work, which I otherwise may not have had. It taught the better ways to manage and make reports and how to relate them to other departments, and take their inputs, making me better at report writing and coordinating with other departments. My interpersonal communications were fostered by the classes and helped me better get along with people at the office, especially when significant interactions were required.

Registered Customer Service Representative 40 hour class

I also took a 40 hour Registered Customer Service Representative class at Polk Community college which I completed on September 11, 2003. This class was essential for developing the necessary skill of empathy. I give this session proper credit as it helped me tremendously in developing skills and acquiring knowledge that I otherwise may not have ...
