The black Panthers were a assembly of African American men who took brutal assesses to gain freedom. The black Panthers stood for liberating their persons from the oppression and inequality that the government and policemanman made them face. Many black people answered to their message, because they felt that they could concern to what the Panthers were saying and sustained their ideas.

The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense calls upon the American persons in general and the black persons in particular to take careful note of the racist California Legislature which is now contemplating legislation directed at holding the black persons disarmed and powerless at the very identical time that the racist policemanman bureaus throughout the country are intensifying the terror, brutality, killing, and repression of black people....The black Panther Party for Self-Defense accepts as true that the time has arrive for black people to arm themselves against this terror before it is too late. (6) We want all black men to be exempt from military service (the Black Panthers felt that they shouldn't fight for a racist government that didn't support them).

(7) We desire an direct end to policemanman brutality and killing of black people.
