Business intelligence is a concept which refers to the way in which decision can be made faster and easier. In the current society the companies collect huge quantities of data daily: information about orders, inventories, and transactions from work sites and of course information about customers. Companies also collect data as demographic data and email lists from external sources. Unfortunately more than 93% of the data are not used in the decision making process (Dresner, Buytendijk, 2002).

The Business Intelligence (BI) is more than just software, but it also describes a set of processes and technologies for simplifying and improving the use of key information within a company. The BI data are collected from various systems into one enterprise, whether it is ERP or CRM, accounting systems, or from Excel spreadsheets and other personal productivity tools. The data are then cleaned, standardized and communicated to users. It is the approach of IT aligns with business intelligence. Companies are likely to have a dashboard from the most relevant indicators to manage performance of their organization. This ensures the implementation of a proactive management objective and focused on achieving results (Boyer, Frank, 2010).
