In 1980's only well to do people belonging to the elite class were the ones who could afford a car. Whereas, today we have an extensive amount of cheap cars available to us easily and the cars today could not only be bought by the elite class, but now the normal middle class could also afford a car for themselves and their family. The cars in the 1980's were also not environment friendly, as compared to the cars of 2012 where the developers are looking to manufacture cars that are more and more environment friendly (Paul, & Champion, 2005).
