Career in Space Travel

A career in its most basic sense refers to the temporal progression of an individual through life or a distinct portion of life such as an educational career. A career can also be thought of more narrowly as an individual's progression through a specific occupational sequence such as a medical career or a teaching career. Sociologists have been particularly interested in the work careers of individuals. An early study of the bureaucratic career was done by sociological theorist Max Weber. Within a bureaucracy's hierarchy are a set pattern of positions distinguished by tasks, importance, status, and salary. In ideal bureaucratic careers, people enter the bureaucracy at a low position in the hierarchy, and then as they attain skill and experience, they move up the bureaucratic ladder. However, a career can consist of both vertical and horizontal movements (Singh, 2003).

Actually individual careers are not necessarily as rigid as the above discussion implies. Careers may be multidirectional, encompassing both horizontal and vertical movements. In addition, workers may have several occupations throughout their lives. Also, not all occupations have a clear hierarchy of positions and expected career trajectories. For example, a printer may be expected to complete a rigid apprenticeship, while a lucky actor may land a starring role on a television show without having experience.

While space technology has long been one of the most advanced technical fields and space activities are in fact intellectual creations. It is in recent years that these activities raise questions of ownership intellectual. Among other reasons, space activities, in public are becoming more and more private and commercial. In addition, a growing number of these activities take place within the framework of international cooperation mechanisms, which depend on a single international legal framework, consistent and safe. With the advances made in the second half of the twentieth century space technology developed by the great powers-that have begun in 1957 with the first space launch of Sputnik Soviet Union began a frantic conquest of outer space, command technological prowess of the most advanced at that time. For this reason, the United Nations undertook, in unison, a series of initiatives to create the regulatory mechanisms that will control the progress and scientific achievements in space (Robinson, 2006).

Space is a huge catalyst for modern science and technology, which has become unprecedentedly short time for one of the main levers of the modern world process. Choosing a career in the field of space travelling is always full of challenges and is thriving in nature. It stimulates the development of electronics, mechanical engineering, materials science, computer engineering, energy and many other areas of the economy. From the hypotheses about the nature of the planets and the structure of the cosmos, the people moved on to the full and direct study of celestial bodies and the interplanetary space by rocket and space technology (Ronda, 2006).
