Cars are extremely interesting part of modern day society. They are an instrument of modern day technology that has changed the way people approaches life. While there are countless areas of research that can relate to cars, perhaps the most interesting area of research is that which pertains to the people who drive cars. This discussion will shed light on the different reasons for which people drive and the factors that attract them towards innovative technologies and models. Cars tell a great deal about people who drive them therefore, it is important to understand the preferences of people in relation to the new technologies that have been shaping the car industry.

The car industry has seen numerous innovations in technology. When people talk about high-powered cars or racing cars, it is almost certain that they refer to turbo. Lately there have been arguments about the introduction of diesel cars for which the car builders now go for setting aside a gasoline engines and are being fully devoted to the turbo diesel (Moser). A turbo can greatly increase the horsepower of an engine without perceiving much weight gain, which is what makes the turbo as one of the best ways to increase engine power. However, there is a direct relationship between people' personality and preferences for driving specific cars (Kevin, 2010).

The automobile is such a strong instrument of self expression that it has replaced house, home and motherhood as a gauge of security and success. Most Americans take more pride in owning a new car than they would in being president of the United States. Thus the auto makers know that deep emotional and personality factors play a far bigger part in people's decision to buy a car than the practical reasons given. That's a big change. Not too long ago, a car was simply transportation. A bit later it became a necessity. Even though these things are now even truer as they have become secondary to a car's value as a measure of the family's place in the community (Kevin, 2010).

When analyzing people who drive cars, it can be said that gender and income is the impact of the new choice of vehicle, while the way to explore purchases will vary when some people search for information before extensive shopping, others will decide in the store, or on the advice of a salesperson. Not a single political Intervention is likely to change the behavior of all consumers. Instead, a mixture of different policies is the most effective way to be the influence of different consumer (Barzen, 2011).

Driving a car is no easy task that requires attention of both technical and practical knowledge (Moser).
