Introduction

Child abuse is one of the saddest and most tragic problems in America today. Each year, approximately one to two million American children are beaten, neglected or sexually abused by their parents or guardians (Logio 2003). Infants only a few days, and adolescents are subjected to child abuse. There

Four types of child maltreatment: physical abuse, physical neglect, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse. Child abuse is a serious problem, which poisons the youth of America and must be stopped.

Cruelty to children

"Child abuse" can be characterized as the beginning or permitting any harmful or attack to communicate in a child's body, as well as any relationship or transaction of any kind which humiliates, shames, or frightens the child.

The main types of child abuse

1. Sexual abuse of children

2. Psychological abuse

3. Neglect (physical neglect, informative neglect, emotional neglect)

4. Physical violence

Sexual abuse

It covers the genital fondling a child, making the child fondle the genitals of adults, communication, incest, rape, sodomy, exhibitionism and sexual exploitation (Connelly, 2000). Will be reported to child abuse, these actions must be pledged by the individual to blame for child care or related to a child. If a stranger commits these acts, it will be treated as sexual violence and managed only to be a police officer and lawlessness of individual vessels. (Schwartz-Kenney et.al, 2001)

Psychological abuse

It is also known as verbal abuse, expressive of abuse and psychological violence. Psychological violence includes actions or failure to proceed with their parents or guardians who have initiated or may origin serious behavioral, cognitive, emotional or mental disorders (Fontes, 2005).

Neglect

Neglect can be personal, informative, or emotional. Physical neglect can include not supplying sufficient food or clothing, its proper care, supervision, or fix Defense against Climate (heat or coats) (Connelly, 2000). Psychological neglect includes the need for any emotional support and love, but do not ever care to a child, spousal abuse and alcohol abuse spanning allow the child to participate in the pharmaceutical and alcohol use (Crosson-Tower, 2005).

Unlike physical and sexual abuse, neglect, usually evidenced by the current structure of the inadequate care and easily observed individuals in close contact with the child. Failure happens when the child's parents or caregivers do not provide the necessary requisites to the emotional, physical and psychological child development. Even a child can be ignored in terms of education, and medicine. Educational neglect can lead to underachievement in acquiring necessary basic skills, dropping out of school permanently or disruptive behavior.

Medical neglect can lead to poor general health and aggravated health problems. Physical damage in the form of reduced injuries and burns due to lack of oversight. Severe neglect of infants can lead to infant failure to thrive, and may even lead to death of a child.

It is hard to imagine that anyone would intentionally harm a child. Many times, physical violence is the result of excessive discipline or physical punishment that is not appropriate for the child's age. Parents may simply not know the magnitude of the force with which he or she strikes ...
