Introduction

There lies no doubt about the fact that the biggest endowment of nature on mankind is the sound health. The significance of the endowment must be asked from those who are deprived of it. Most importantly, the betterment of health is imperative at every stage of a person's life, let it be the childhood, adulthood or old age; health enables the person to see and relish the enchanting and mesmerising colours of the world. Bearing in mind the previously stated connotation, it is of utmost importance that the health of the person is assessed regularly. Therefore, in order to attain this purpose, this assignment undertakes the endeavour of assessing the health of a child, and comprising the data acquired to the Australian health department recommendations.

Analysis And Interpretation Of The Assessment Data And Its Comparison To Recommendations Made By Australian Health Dept

Over time the Australian health department has taken numerous essential measures to ensure the rendering of best and most effective services that will be of critical importance for enabling the department of medicine to be of utmost assistance to the common public, and understand their medical conditions and its underlying connotations. As mentioned in the introductory section, this assignment primarily revolves around the child assessment and its Comparison to recommendations made by Australian health dept. therefore, an astute assessment and pertaining data was collected (of a child named Daniel), and this section will endeavour to compare the assessment with the recommendations made by Australian health dept.

BMI

At the outset, the first aspect that the assessment form covers is that of BMI. In case of Daniel, his BMI turned out to be 17. Even at the tender age of 10, the BMI (which indicates that Daniel is underweight) is alarming. According to the Australian health dept this aspect of being underweight can play a pivotal role in gradually decreasing the immunity system of the child and prone him to numerous diseases. If a small weight loss in obese people reduces the risk of numerous diseases, then a further decrease in already underweight children increases the relevant risk. Therefore, it is highly imperative that special care for Daniel's nutrition is taken, so that he may overcome this aspect of underweight and relish more health life, enabling him to evade numerous diseases and enjoy the colours of life (Borrow, 2011, pp. 71).

Oral Health

As clearly evident by the data that although Daniel takes care of his oral health, as he brushes his teeth once a day; but he is still not enthusiastic or obsessed about it, which most of the children of this age normally are not. However, the Australian health dept immensely accentuate on the proper maintenance of the oral health, as lack of care can prone the kids to numerous oral health issues.
