Abstract

This paper discusses the early childhood education, and what sort of other education means are available for the child. Further this paper elaborates the assessment for the education for early childhood. After this the study also covers the different skills which can be used as assessment tool for the early childhood education.

Introduction

The assessment of development of the young children and their learning has achieved new importance. Government and private organizations have developed a program to improve the readiness of the school for the young children. These programs are also for those children who are coming from economically deprived habitat and societies and children with special needs. This program is developed to enhance social, languages and academic skills by providing them early care and education. Additionally, they comprise a special program where identification of those children who are facing developmental problems and providing them with appropriate intervention. Student abilities are a measure through assessments and his growth being track as improvement in their skills occur.

The promotion of social skills, emotional competence and communication requirement, is only applicable if the quality early childhood education is granted. These skills are essential in the first year of the learning experiences in order for the development and interaction. Pre-School, Early Childhood Education and Head Start programs are affectionate for the commencement of the brighter part towards social change. These programs assist children in developing secure association with their peers and with each other. The most important thing which child learns, is the developing the sense of confidence, and competence that is developing self esteem in the changing world (Jasmine, 1992).

Discussion

Developmental assessments are those procedures which enable to understand competencies of the child and propose an environment of learning that will facilitate a child in growing their potential. The implementations of these assessments are in the classroom; providing teachers a proper program which offers numerous learning opportunities according to the capabilities of the child (Shipley, 2008).

Educational development

The continuous fall towards young children care and education is due to the public resources that are scared and moved after gaining the knowledge about the economics of growing the next generation. Early education to their children is important for some families and brushed aside as social service expenditure and for few families it considered an expensive in tight budgetary times. Howe ever, many studies have showed that early education is not too expensive. Early education is essential for all children. Moreover, early childhood education benefits children in social as well as in economic groups.

Nevertheless, the problem which arises is that education in the preschool is not available due to finance mostly for the middle class families whose income is between $40,000 and $50,000 a year. The reason for this is that at the age of 3 children learning power increase through the life.
