Collaboration and Arguments Paper

Introduction

Collaborative research can be defined as the construction of a multi-sectored network linking researchers, community members and study group, with the explicit goal of using research as a tool to solve problems together and promote social change. Its purpose is to respond to organizational needs and / or community made by those who are most affected by the problem and its solution (Tartas & Mirza, 2007).

Discussion

Research process in Collaborative writing

Collaboration does change the research process. Collaboration climate influences and determines the participation of members of the group, in terms of decision making, selection of study areas and proposed analysis, in methodology, the ability to work in teams is a key aspect, in entire work process interaction takes place between participants and their coincidence in the field of research (Tartas & Mirza, 2007). Participants in a collaborative research network can be members of a wide variety of organizations, communities or groups; however, the network must include at least one representative of community organization that is not usually involved in the research and organization or unit in which the research is one of its main activities.

Evaluation of sources

Collaboration in research makes it easier to evaluate the sources. Due to collaboration of more people on common goal conceives less energy thus strengthening their determination to act. By uniting diverse people with experience, skills and perspectives, enable them to gather more resources for concrete, successful and a particular work, thereby giving increased security to promote and initiate changes innovations (Spring, 1997). The interacting dialogue and reflect on the whole, create synergies that enable a large reflection capability and increased mutual learning opportunities, thereby enabling to go much further and create better able to cope with success, uncertainties and obstacles arising.

Ethos in collaborative papers

The aim of the argumentative and team papers is to persuade the readers that the ideas presented in the paper are valid or valid than presented in previous research. One of the critical problems with argumentative team papers is to establish the authenticity. The argument can serve as the theoretical framework, the ideas down on the rule of impartiality, discussing texts and discourses that dramatize the procedures are, paradoxically, those who displayed the appearance of neutrality (Katz and Martin, 1995). The notion of objectivity is fundamentally a philosophical concept, it could be invoked in a forum theoretical, abstract and de-contextualized, which has nothing in common with the "practical concerns" which are those of argument and action.

Forms of arguments

It is evident that collaborative papers use different kinds of arguments than the papers written individually. In collaborative papers, writers use different forms of arguments within one paper, while in an individually written paper, author usually use one form of argument (Walton and Godden, 2005). It is due to the fact that an individual tackles the paper in a single form while in team papers, every author has its own understanding and that is why they present their arguments in their own ...
