Abstract

This is an abstract of the topic which has been discussed throughout the essay. It has focused on the role and practices of community nursing in daling with the patients infected with HIV/AIDS. Now, the communities have been modified and more developed in terms of bio-technology, the life styles of the people have changed considerably, there have been a lot of socio-economic changes, changes in family structures because of migration and the pollution in the environment has transformed the overall life of people with respect to healthcare.

Introduction

The nursing profession which is patient-centered, is a practice with a strong humanistic connotation that focuses on the patient's origin, history, evolution and social customs. Community nursing, in its current conception, is a reflection of the transformations that the concept of health has suffered over the years. The staff of healthcare institute should demonstrate consistent performance in the current context with important contributions to the health of the population, a fact which distinguishes it as a promoter of human development, which produces not only healthcare but also values, qualities that go towards improving the health of people. HIV-infected patients are therefore required to receive medical care at any time, including the place of residenceir in the clinic.The patient should not be deprived of anything, here comes the role of community nurse. It is important to closely monitor how the patients develops with this infectious and life taking illness, eats, the condition of his skin. But it should be noted that the care for each patient infected with HIV/ AIDS, needs to be critically taken care of.

Discussion

Research on HIV in the world has been numerous and prevalence studies are prominent in relation to the literature on HIV / AIDS. The descriptive epidemiological research has provided important findings regarding the various populations with HIV which involve not only looks at investigations of the protective factors and risk factors, but to aspects, such as ,knowledge, practices and attitudes, self-care groups living with HIV / AIDS and treatment adherence. Today, throughout the world, the healthcare system particularly at the primary care level, is being reorganized and regulated functions to resize the role of healthcare providers in working with the community. This task starts a process, not yet completed, the redefinition that will affect the performance of nurses, and therefore the functions they perform. This document focuses precisely on the role of Community Health Nurse(Spader, 2008).

For several years nurses have empirically identified problems related to the delineation of role. By 2001 the National Directorate of Nursing identified among the main problems existing methodological guidelines that set out the same functions for technical staff and university educated staff . In this view, the impact of their problem, among other things was the failure to identify staff college graduate with nursing profession, loss of motivation to the specialty, and non-permanence in it.
