Introduction

In this paper, the main focus is on development of children in the culture of China and U.S. This paper basically gives the comparing and contrasting child developement from infancy to adolescence based on language and cognition. U.S and china both have different cultures of learning and development. According to the Katz (1995), development approach should be design in a way that gives the proper about learner's developmental status and teaches the relationship between subsequent development and early experience. In order to guide them about practice, all the teachers must understand the changes in development that considerably occur from birth till the age of 8 and must learn that how to teach the learning and development to a child during this time period in every country.

Development of Children- From Infancy to Adulthood

Discussion about the development of child is very vast in terms of explanations and details learning and development in language is very complex which needs the complete research and consideration.

According to the research of human development it has been proved that the period of growth and learning occur in children relatively during the period of nine years. All the predictable changes occur in all parts of development such as emotional, language, social, physical, and cognitive. The child born in a particular historical period and, therefore, in a world of material objects and spiritual culturally determined, for example: the most specific way is conditioned by the culture of their environment closer, living conditions and education in which he lives, and develops; it is not an abstract and metaphysical. The social environment is not simply an external condition in human development, but a real source for child development since it contained all the values ??and material and spiritual capacities of the society where the child is living, he has endorsing in the process of their development.

This complex process creates a contradiction that has become a scientific issue essential to the educational process and child development, this refers to the contradiction of the role of other, the adult who participates, directs, promotes , facilitates and teaches ago, versus the role of the subject in the development, which is involved, creates, designs and freely and spontaneously tasks. This approach has been one of the points of contradiction between so-called traditional trends of pedagogy, didactics and school and new school trends, constructivist in recent times (Durkin, D. 1987).

Development of American and Chinese Children

If we analyze the differences between the development of American and Chinese children; it can be ascertained that they grow up in completely different environments. Hence, their cognitive and language development varies drastically. Language plays a main role in our life.
