Introduction

The word personality comes from the word etymologically person, which in Greek is prosopon and means "mask" is defined as the dynamic organization within the individual of those psychophysical systems that determine his characteristic behavior and thought. It is a relatively stable and enduring organization of character , temperament , intellect and physical of a person, which determines its unique adaptation to the environment. They are forms most of the time stable characteristics of the individual, thinking , experiencing and behaving.

Develops and changes through life, it is the result of the interaction of heredity and environment of human being, social learning and personal experiences. Is the usual way that people behave, where they express their behaviors and experiences. It is an individual and social , individual because each person is unique and unrepeatable and social as we are aware of our actions we see as we condition the environment and build. Do not exist, it is inferred from the behavior of humans. It is an abstraction that helps us to order experience and predict behavior .

Discussion

Personality has two components, a genetic basis, called temperament, and one that is identified as a character, which depends on social and environmental determinants of the individual. Through the character is how we develop our strengths and abilities, indicates the way human beings have to act, think and express affection (Johnson, Liu & Cohen, 2011). Extraversion is the tendency of a person to be open, lively, sociable, with a need to establish relationships. At the opposite pole is introversion.

Introversion is characterized by a tendency to withdraw, shyness, avoiding uncomfortable situations or unforeseen, that involve social interaction and isolation of individual endeavor. When speaking of extroversion, also refers to its opposite introversion, so that the two cases are in completely opposite terms. Most people are at an intermediate term, but we tend towards one or other of these sides. With respect to Neuroticism same thing happens, there is a middle term between control and neuroticism, and most people are in this intermediate position (Levy, 2009). Thus a person with a tendency to neuroticism, would be a person with a tendency to overreact to certain situations, with an overreaction of the nervous system in situations of tension and crisis.

By contrast a person with control, remain calm and not be as physically active, it would not shock accented with adrenaline, dilated pupils, and so on. The term was introduced by Eysenck Psychoticism realizing that the two dimensions could not classify many of the people who had to deal with. This term refers to a strange expression of emotions and behaviors. It does not follow the usual logic, does not take into account social norms and common sense, but it tends to leave the rules behaving unexpectedly in certain situations.
