The total assets of the company, worth $86 million, with over 35,000 employees. The company got formed in 2002 with a merger of Phillips petroleum and Conoco. The management of the company analyzed the market and decided to centralize the functions through “self-sever” intranet portals. Front end user usability challenges were faced due to intranet portal. The portal applications of the company get overly complex, inconsistent and unorganized which leads the company in deep trouble. The navigation puts HR department under immense pressure due to navigation problem. The HR department of ConocoPhillips is totally computer based the entire HR activities take place online.
