The study is suggestive of utilizing the Lean Six Sigma methodology, especially the LEAN piece which focuses on elimination of waste, expanded correctness and pace in a process.  While there is argument considering the cost and time required for this approach, the PI group has discovered the ROI is projected to far exceed the cost and finally outcome in a cost savings to the organization.  In supplement, expanded buy-in from front line employees is described when taking this approach as they are employed to aid with the task and are empowered to make changes.
