Incorporation of employee enhancement and leadership programs has a direct impact on the operations of the company. It allows the management to identify potential leaders and work on their grooming for the desired results. Mentoring and coaching programs are the most commonly employed organizational activities directed towards professional and personal development.

Coaching and mentoring programs are not meant to be temporary; in fact most are put in place for longer periods to achieve the desired results (AFC, 2004, pp. 1). It is the duty of the management leadership specialist to identify the gaps and improvise the coaching programs for the company. Hence, the application of such programs is entirely situational and need based.
