Critical Analysis Template: Ecologically Sustainable Organizations

PRINCIPLE

The concept relates to an organization's realization about the concerns of responsible environmental management apart from typical business mission.

Based on the idea of interdependence between the environment, society, and the economy (Reynaud, 2003).

Organizations are aiming to “green” themselves through the utilization of efforts like self-regulation, technological innovations and industrial codes and certifications (NAALC, 2003).

The concept is based on creating a safe environment for businesses to take part in socio-economic benefits for the entire society at large.

Ecological sustainability is one of the new bases for competition, innovation, and cost reduction in business today.

PRACTICE

The topic of ecologically sustainable organizations is classified under a generally accepted body of conventional wisdom and practice, that is based on many beneficial outcomes as is evident from past experiences (Euros, 2003).

It is a fact that ecologically sustainable organizations adhere to the principles of contributing towards societal development while being corporately responsible too.

The concept is newly adapted in response to the environmental hazards faced by the world to reinforce the concept of steady corporate economy (Wiedemann, Perier, Lepine, 2003).

This is dedicated to building an environmentally sustainable economy; raising awareness to support public response to population growth, rising CO2, loss of species, and other trends that are affecting the Earth.
