Suring our lives we all make some plans for ourselves and so do our parents. These plans are based on our current position and scenario and are determined by our future goal. Although we may be motivated to follow our plans, there are many instances in which we are unable to follow them.

One such instance happened with me when I was 18 years old. I had just finished college and was planning to do my bachelors. After going through the degrees available, I ended up with two choices, BS in management sciences, and BBA. I shortlisted these two degrees since I was interested in pursuing a career in management. I also discussed this with my friends and most of them said that I should go for the BS degree. After over 3 months of careful analyzing the course and finding out the best university for this degree, I finally managed to select my university as well as the courses I would select.

A few days before the admissions could begin, tragedy struck my home. My loving father died in a car accident while coming home from work. The agony through which I went through this day cannot be expressed in words. My mother and younger brother could also not handle the situation as they were completely shocked. During this time I could not think about taking out time to go and get my admissions done as I had to take care of my family.

As days passed by, my family started to calm down so I decided to get my admission work done. When I approached my mother to tell her that I was taking admission in university, I received a bad news. She told me that it was not possible for her to finance ...
