The decision making process is involved in making a rationale choice out of available alternatives. If there is enough number of alternatives available to the managers then managers will evaluate all the alternatives and choose the best one and it is the best scenario for making effective and efficient decision. The researchers and theorists have proved that when managers are supposed to make decision relating to the promotions of their subordinates, managers used to make biased decisions. If the managers are highly influenced by the value of an expected outcome then there are fair chances that the mangers will give more importance to that option without considering the probability of that outcome. It has to be making sure that the hypothesis on which managers are making decision is not biased. If the hypothesis is biased then the decision making process would also be biased. There should be more emphasize that those mangers who made good decisions will be considered as future leaders of the business. In order to avoid personal biasness, there has to be a comprehensive documentation of the reasons or motives behind particular decision.

There are certain types of measures that can stop manager for being biased in decision making process. These measures include external controls, effectiveness of the decision taken by managers and counseling of the managers. There is a need to make managers understand that if they take biased decisions then they will serious consequences. The biased attitude of the managers in decision making process cause problems to the organization but it also affect the productivity level that manager. There should be complete review of the decision and managers are supposed to give reasonable justification for the step taken in decision making process. This will unfold the motives hidden in the mind of managers while making decisions. Managers should be trained to keep their personal motivations low and make rational decisions which are beneficial for the company and also for the manager's career. There are few cases in which managers do not intentionally become biased in making decision but due to lack of knowledge and skills, their decision seems to be biased and give negative results. The organizations should conduct training sessions for the managers to make them learn how to make unbiased decision and increase their moral. The moral values do have a potential impact on the behavior of employees. If the moral level of manager is low then the manager is more vulnerable to take biased decisions. Therefore work or investment on the moral values of the managers can bring fruitful result in term of unbiased decision making process.
