Difference equations possess wide area of application and can be applied to describe the evolution of certain phenomena over the course of time. Some of them are Drug dose for patient, amortization, which is the process by which a loan is repaid by a sequence of periodic payments, each of which is part payment of interest and part payment to reduce the outstanding principal, in solving the logistic equation.
