Biography

He was born May 26, 1928 in Pontiac, Mich., the son of Armenian immigrants. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine; University of Michigan in 1952, then joined the U.S. armed forces and participated in the Korean War. He worked at the hospital G.Forda in Detroit, and then the pathologist in various hospitals in California and Michigan. He was also interested in music and painting. He has written songs for jazz, listened to the fugues of Bach and painted canvases dark. It was in the 1980s he began to be known for his positions on euthanasia (Kevorkian, 1988).
