CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

A borehole is a hole in the earth, the equipment of the hole as the casing and in general the technical means to dig vary depending on its size and its objectives. Are drilled to explore and / or operate underground. In virtually all cases, a diesel engine provides the power for drilling. The power is then delivered either by electricity or by mechanical. In the case of deep wells, electric generators powered by a diesel engine are most often used. The option "electric" has many advantages including noise reduction and organization of the site easier.

Engines providing mechanical energy are connected either to a rotary table which transmits motion to the spindle, as its name indicates it is square or hexagonal for rotation. This rod is connected to the drill pipe by a connection of wear, which transmits the movement to the drill bit (bit in English) or to a rotating head (powered swivel) for transmitting the movement directly to the drill pipes [1]. The rotation system usually includes an injection head, a drive rod which passes through a rotary table and which is connected to a drill string and a tool end of the train digging in the ground. The drive rod and makes the drill string and the tool end of the train, all are rotated via the rotary table and an angular section of the column that is located at the table, or if the table is not the rotation means of the drilling machine, through the injection head which also serves to drive the column [6].

Hypothesis

The Barberton Greenstone Belt contains one of the best-preserved successions of mid-Arching supracrustal rocks in the world [1]. The volcanic successions provide new insights into volcanic processes, mantle dynamics and plate tectonics and interaction of the oceanic volcanic crust with the hydrosphere and biosphere [10].

CHAPTER 2: METHODOLOGY

This paper will be made possible by acquisition of a large amount of data from a major program of geological mapping and research on the Pilbara Craton conducted between 1995 and 2005 by the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) and Geoscience Australia (GA). Mapping will be supported by U-Pb dating of Zircons, Sm-Nd and Pb isotope analysis, Petrological analysis and finally and fluid mechanic experiments [5].
