[Ans. 1] Knitter (1998) in one of his work states that in the present times Christianity is faced with two primary concerns, the first being the increasing poverty in the world and the second the proliferation of various religions. Knitter (1998) states these two issues not as threat but as concern for both Christians and the rest of the world and calls for better and more understanding of these religions. In addition, Knitter (1998) terms such kind of understanding as liberal mindset that is the need of the hour and strongly recommends exchange of dialogue to address the issue of pluralism of religions.

[Ans. 2] Both Hill and Knitter seek to distinguish between faith and religion because in simpler terms faith means belief. While, it can be contested that religion too, or so mean a belief, but religion is more structural if compared to a belief. Religion is more relied on conviction rather than belief. Hence, it can be observed that the explanation and the basic meaning of both religion and faith are blurred and overlapping each other. However, an individual can have faith or belief in many things but the belief in religion is more powerful and requires utmost dedication.

[Ans. 3] One of the most common blame put on any religion is the level of superiority that becomes associated with it, regardless of the preaching it entails. This level of superiority leads to give an impression of intolerance or sense of superiority amongst its believers over other religions. However, discussing the general importance of religion itself, it provides a sense of hope and belief for those who do not have any. It allows them to pray and ask for forgiveness and mercy from a Higher Being. Other than that, it also instills feelings and emotions of kindness and compassion towards all living. There yet has to be religion to be discovered that do not preach peace. Moreover, it encourages the importance of right and wrong actions and ethics, and make the individual aware of the fact that all their deeds are being accounted for and they will receive an award or punishment based upon their actions.
