Questions# 1.a. Personal factor includes health status, physical disabilities, sensory impairment and learning difficulties. Health status factor can influence genetically or by the environment in which child grows up. A Child, who grows up in a poor quality house, may meet with asthma and breathing problems. Physical disabilities may put up child with restriction of physical activities. Sensory impairment includes the issues like visual or hearing problem, which can influence their development of learning and communication.

b. External factors may influence positively or negatively. Factors which place a negative impact at their development include Poor health, Appearance/ Personal hygiene, Poor education, and Social skills. Poor health and poor education can influence the physical and mental growth of a child. Poor social skills led to poor education. However, good facility resources, good social skills, etc. are the factors which put a positive impact to the growth of the children. Good facility resources and good social skills provided by the social environment around them help to build confidence and intellect among them.

c. Personal and external factors greatly influence the development of a child. However, the physical, social and emotional, economical and environmental factors stand up with certain reasons which stop a child to follow the expected pattern. Parental care plays a major role in the development. However, a child who is grown up in a conflict environment between the parents may not manage to get better development. Environmental and physical factors are also a reason for the child and young people's development may not follow the expected pattern.
