Research strategy is developing the course of research pertaining to any academic topic. The research strategy for this assignment comprises of following steps;

Identifying the topic: the topic stands in the category that encompasses a niche facet of a wide area. The topic is “Planning and reflecting at postgraduate level”. Therefore, large data is available for the topic in various credible sources.

Locating background information: to obtain a general know-how of the topic, I would just be rushing through websites such as Britannica online to look for background description and depth of the topic.

Preparing an outline: after looking into the background of the topic, I require to prepare an outline of what to include in the topic.

Deciding search terms: for each header mentioned in the outline, specific search terms need to be decided to look for them.

Deciding tools for researching the topic: after finding out, what to insert in the topic. Next step is to decide which tools are to be used.

Google search: the most renowned search engine will be used to obtain required information under specific headers. Google search would show the material available with free online access and what material could be obtained from other data basis. Google will also determine the order of content essay will contain. By searching through Google the idea of sequence will be developed. Google will specify which header should follow at what place.

Databases: After looking on search engines for relevant data, as well as, visiting different libraries and databases on the internet. After finding out enough data from search engine, databases would be searched for facts and figures. Databases are subject wise collection of journals and research papers, as well as, published articles pertaining to a subject. Online libraries are extensive collection of books and journals pertaining to different subject areas and genres.
