Introduction

Older persons worldwide, continue to work with or without pay, making substantial contribution to the economic prosperity of their communities. There is no economic or biological basis for retirement at a fixed age, with the average between 60 and 65 in developed countries. In fact, in national economies, where agriculture predominates, older adults, both men and women, are working on the farm to be physically unable to perform their tasks, a fact that often comes at a stage very late in life. In turn, in developed societies are becoming more widely recognized that older adults should be free to work all the time they want. Age should not impede or hinder in any way a person desires to get a job, it must be recognized and rewarded the benefits of age. In times of high unemployment has made it easy to encourage people to leave their paid employment, in order to free jobs for young people seeking work, however, has investigated the reality of the labor market is much more complex and early retirement will not necessarily translate into jobs for young people who may lack the training or the skills to replace the elderly. Protect Pensions against Poverty

Today many seniors have pension plans that offer protection from poverty, and growth of these retirement plans is related to the industrialization of economies, urbanization, traditional family ties, and represents a collective approach to enable resource sharing people of working age and those already retired. Income security concern not only to the elderly, to their families in many developing countries is critical given the nature of the problem of poverty in older adults, whereas once the families were willing to care for their elders and yet able to do so today, the changing world limits their ability to carry out their traditional roles.
