Efficacy of Acupuncture for Asthma

Asthma

In this disease of asthma, various treatments are carried out to reduce the frequency of the crisis. Among these we have the hyposensitivity by vaccines, the use of bronchodilators and the use of suppressors of allergic reaction (Xinsheng, 2007). All these drugs can cause adverse reactions and even life threatening reactions can also be occurred for the patient. However, there is an ancient therapeutic method called acupuncture, a cornerstone of traditional Oriental medicine, which has been forgotten by the Western world, even if it is an easy and effective. The aim and objective of this paper is to discuss the effectiveness of the acupuncture in the treatment of asthma.
