Electronical Differences between My Generation and My Grandparents

Introduction

Since the development of this world people has experienced many changes throughout their life, from the life they have depicted a group of mammoths on the walls of their caves to the days of this modern era where people have access to the personal computers to create the new modern techniques and patterns in order to make a carpet, send e-mail to their friend and even make a cup of coffee without leaving their chair (Jonscher, pp. 3-46). In the notion of a fact, it has been noticed that without any doubt every generation has a point of difference from the generations in many ways, from the generations which have come in the past, before them. This research paper will illustrate many of the differences among the current generation, and the generation in which our grandparents were born.

Discussion

Starting the elaboration it has been noted through general observations as well as through many research studies also that the current generation is much more advanced as far as technology is concerned, than the generation of our grandparents came before this generation. As we were born with all the technological gadgets, entering into the school we have been exposed to computers, and more over our most of education has been served by the teacher with the help of technology, where as our grandparents did not ever in their era get the chance to learn about those technologies, because of the inventions were not so fast in those days (Austin, pp. 16). More of the observational fact is that my grandparents and even my mother they have learnt about the usage of the internet from me (Grossi, pp. 83-98). These days we have been under the most privilege era that we were born in this modern world, where everything is attached with the assembly of technology, and had automated all the systems that could be used in daily routine.

Moreover, there were many restrictions in adopting the technology, the restrictions were influenced by many factors such as, technology being out of the reach of the pockets, customs and traditions does not allow adopting it, and most influential factor is that the children were not too empowered to take decisions for themselves, and they had given more priority to different things. Whereas evidently talking about this generation, my generation is very social, that all because of the enticement of technology in our lives, through the digital interference like the social networks Facebook, twitter, YouTube, this generation went quite ahead of times. Thus, the generation gap is increasing , though the generation of my grandparents is trying to cover and bridge the gap between generations, they are trying their best to learn the technologies attached in the daily life (Linda, pp. 31).

Technology has entirely changed the face and definition of socializing (Edgington, pp. 145). Socializing had a total different meaning in ancient times. One could not think of being connected to the whole globe just by sitting at home. Back then, ...
