Emissions are then presented for the six categories established by the IPPC:

1. Power, 2.Process 3.Solvents, 4.Agriculture, 5. Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) and 6.Waste, using the methodologies of level 1.

The emission factors and methodologies used conform to those used in the development of the National Emission Inventory of Greenhouse Gases 1990-2002. For the report aggregate emissions used CO2 equivalent units, using potentials for global warming presented by the IPPC in its 2nd Report for assessment.
