Endocrine structure

Introduction

The endocrine structure is consisting of ductless glands which have particular organs which includes secret hormones. Hormones work is to work as an agent which carries bloodstream to cells present in different parts of the body. These cells interpret the messages and take action accordingly. It is an unbelievable concept that a chemical which are small enters into the bloodstream and than an action occurs in different parts of body. This act takes place in every individual's life on daily basis. It is because of hormones that homeostasis is maintained and responds according to stimuli. The trend of all organism or cell is to regulate its inner situation, such as the chemical composition of some chemicals of its body fluids, in order to retain health and functioning, apart from of external situation is called homeostasis (Anonymous N. D). The homeostasis is maintain by looking at its inner situation and responding as preferred when these situation vary from their normal state. The protection of a steady body temperature usually in warm animals is considered as one of the most important example of homeostasis. For example homeostatic in human being is that temperature of body involves some mechanisms like sweating if the temperature is not able to produce heat. Even it can't generate through metabolic processes if the internal temperature decrease too much. Hormones are very important because of their role of maintaining equilibrium in our bodies. They don't only play one role they play multiple roles which are important for every individual's body. Without hormones one cannot grow, maintain the warmth, do reproduction, the basic actions and all those functions which are very important for human life (Anonymous N. D).

The endocrine structure provides a connection starting from the brain to all the organs of the body which controls the metabolism, development and reproduction systems. Steroidal and non-steroidal hormones are the types of hormones which are present in the doctrine system. In specific cases like child birth endocrine system does not regulate hormones through negative feedback otherwise in all cases it regulates hormones by giving negative feedbacks. If the hormone activity is increased than it will decrease the productivity of the hormone. Some factors like immune system are called as control factors because they control and maintain the levels of hormones throughout the body (Hiller-Sturmhöfel & Bartk 1998).

Discussion

Glands and homeostasis

Glands including salivary glands, sweat glands, mammary glands and pancreatic glands are classified into exocrine glands as unlike the endocrine glands these release the cellular secretions with the help of duct either to the exterior or into the empty inner spaces (known as lumen) of an organ. These glands are therefore not considered as the part of endocrine system (Hiller-Sturmhöfel & Bartk 1998).

Endocrine system in our bodies is made up of all endocrine glands, the secretions of which are released directly into our blood or intercellular fluids. The endocrine system is composed of following major glands i) Pineal gland, ii) pituitary gland (anterior and posterior lobes), iii) thyroid gland, iv) ...
